Choice Hotels International has added six hotels across Colorado, Florida, Vermont and Wisconsin, expanding its upscale portfolio with two Cambria properties and four Ascend Collection hotels.
The openings range from city hotels in Colorado Springs and Jacksonville to coastal stays in Sarasota, a Vermont ski lodge and a Wisconsin golf destination.
Choice now has more than 300 upscale hotels operating in the United States and nearly 150 properties in development across brands including Cambria, Ascend Collection, Radisson, Radisson Blu and Radisson Individuals.
Cambria Opens in Colorado Springs and Jacksonville
Cambria Hotel Colorado Springs – Air Force Academy has 97 rooms and suites, an on-site restaurant, a rooftop bar and a 24-hour grab-and-go market.
Located five miles from the U.S. Air Force Academy, the hotel provides a base for visiting Garden of the Gods, the Manitou Incline and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum. It also offers a small meeting space.
In Florida, Cambria Hotel Jacksonville serves visitors to destinations including St. Johns Town Center, Mayo Clinic, the University of North Florida and TPC Sawgrass.
Facilities include a locally inspired restaurant and bar, rooftop event space, an outdoor pool and a fitness centre. Guestrooms feature premium bedding and spa-inspired bathrooms.
Two Sarasota Hotels Join Ascend Collection
Caretta Landing Sarasota and Coral Pointe Sarasota bring two properties with shared amenities to Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Caretta Landing has 86 rooms and focuses on relaxation and wellness, with access to attractions including Siesta Key Beach and The Ringling Museum.
Coral Pointe offers 107 rooms and apartment-style suites, alongside a boutique retail market and spaces influenced by Sarasota’s coastal setting.
Together, the hotels provide a shared outdoor resort-style pool, complimentary hot breakfast, a fitness centre and nearly 1,100 square feet of meeting space.
Wisconsin Addition Combines Golf and Events
Fairway Inn and Suites, an Ascend Collection Hotel, in Mishicot, Wisconsin, has 102 newly renovated rooms and nearly 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Guests can book golf packages linked to the adjacent 45-hole course. Other facilities include an indoor heated pool, a hot tub, a fitness centre and Greyfox Bar and Grill.
Complimentary hot breakfast is included, while nearby destinations include Point Beach State Forest, Green Bay and Two Rivers.
Sun Lodge Offers Ski-In, Ski-Out Stays in Vermont
At the base of Bromley Mountain in Peru, Vermont, Sun Lodge, an Ascend Collection Hotel adds 50 rooms to the portfolio.
The property offers ski-in, ski-out access during winter, with hiking, scenic drives and other outdoor activities drawing visitors throughout the year.
Facilities include a game room, outdoor fire pits, a sundeck, a picnic area and nearly 800 square feet of event space. Guests can also visit nearby Manchester, Hildene and Mount Equinox.
Upscale Expansion Spans Business and Leisure Markets
Mark Shalala, Choice Hotels’ Senior Vice President of Development for Upscale Brands, said interest from owners and developers was supporting growth across the portfolio, alongside demand for more individual accommodation experiences.
The six additions participate in Choice Privileges, allowing members to earn and redeem points on eligible stays.
