Hyatt has opened Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu, bringing the brand to the Chinese city of Jiaxing with a 201-room hotel beside South Lake.
The opening follows the recent debut of neighbouring Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu, creating a dual-brand destination in the city’s historic lakeside district. The Regency property adds full-service dining, extensive event facilities and a Regency Club lounge to Hyatt’s local offering.
Lakeside Location Near Jiaxing’s Cultural Attractions
The hotel sits next to Nanhu Place, a waterfront complex with shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.
Nearby attractions include the South Lake Scenic Area, Yuehe Historic District and Zicheng Ruins Park. Guests can also follow curated routes around South Lake to explore the area’s cultural landmarks and seasonal scenery.
The location provides a base for travel within the Yangtze River Delta, with road and high-speed rail connections linking Jiaxing to Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou.
201 Rooms and Suites With Garden Views
The hotel’s interiors draw on Jiangnan design traditions, combining warm textures and local influences with a contemporary, minimalist style.
Its 201 rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows with garden views, dedicated workspaces and modern bathrooms. Complimentary Wi-Fi, round-the-clock concierge assistance and 24-hour room service are available.
Guests staying in suites and executive-floor rooms receive Regency Club access, including daily breakfast, coffee throughout the day and evening cocktails.
Families can also use the Camp Hyatt kids’ club.
Local Cuisine and Waterside Dining
Three dining venues offer different settings for meals and informal gatherings.
Xiangyue Chinese Restaurant focuses on seasonal ingredients and Jiaxing flavours, while Market Cafe serves international and local dishes from breakfast through dinner, with an open kitchen and multiple food stations. Outdoor waterside seating extends the dining space.
The Lobby Lounge, designed to evoke a Jiangnan courtyard, serves afternoon tea and provides space for casual meetings or a quiet drink.
More Than 4,500 Square Metres of Event Space
Business and event facilities occupy more than 4,500 square metres, including a pillarless grand ballroom, a junior ballroom and ten VIP meeting rooms.
The venues are equipped for conferences, product launches, banquets, weddings and other gatherings, with audiovisual systems and menus incorporating local cuisine.
Leisure facilities include a heated indoor pool and a 24-hour fitness centre overlooking greenery. Walking and jogging paths along South Lake offer additional options outdoors.
General Manager Katharine Li said the two neighbouring hotels give visitors a choice between Hyatt Regency’s full-service experience and Hyatt Place’s more streamlined stay.
