Marriott International has expanded its presence in the South Pacific with the debut of Series by Marriott in New Caledonia, bringing three resorts operated by Société Hôtelière de Nouméa (SHN) into the collection.
The move builds on a relationship between Marriott International and SHN spanning more than 30 years and adds properties in Nouméa, the Isle of Pines and Déva to Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio.
The three hotels will operate as Le Domaine Déva, Series by Marriott; Le Domaine Oro, Series by Marriott; and Le Domaine Nouméa, Series by Marriott.
Series by Marriott is Marriott International’s collection brand focused on properties with a strong regional identity. Hotels joining the portfolio retain their individual character while gaining access to Marriott’s global distribution network, standards and Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme.

Le Domaine Déva joins Series by Marriott
Located in Bourail within the Déva Domain nature reserve, Le Domaine Déva, Series by Marriott is a beachfront resort overlooking a UNESCO World Heritage-listed lagoon and barrier reef.
The property has 120 Melanesian-inspired rooms, suites and bungalows, with architecture influenced by Kanak traditions and accommodation overlooking either the gardens or beach.
Facilities include direct beach access, an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool, fitness centre, games room, business and meeting facilities, as well as access to Golf de Déva.
Guests can dine at Reef, which focuses on locally sourced ingredients, or Sand Beach Grill, offering French cuisine alongside ocean views. Creek Bar serves drinks and cocktails beside the beachfront infinity pool.
The resort is also home to a Deep Nature Spa featuring a jacuzzi, sauna and treatment rooms overlooking the lagoon or forest.
Its location provides access to the wider Domaine de Déva reserve, which includes around 158 kilometres of marked trails across a 7,800-hectare protected dry forest. Cycling and horseback riding are among the other activities available in the area.
Le Domaine Oro on the Isle of Pines
Le Domaine Oro, Series by Marriott is located on Oro Bay on New Caledonia’s Isle of Pines, surrounded by beaches, coconut groves, pine trees and lagoon landscapes.
The smaller resort features 48 guestrooms, including 28 bungalow suites. Rooms have private balconies or terraces overlooking the gardens, pool, beach or lagoon.
Facilities include an outdoor infinity pool, fitness centre, bar and games room, while the nearby Baie d’Oro provides access to one of the island’s best-known natural lagoons for swimming and snorkelling.
Dining options include La Pirogue, overlooking Oro Bay and serving French-inspired dishes incorporating local flavours, and Longitude 167 Bar.
Guests can also use the resort’s Deep Nature Spa and take part in activities including canoeing, snorkelling, paddleboarding, cycling, table tennis, pétanque, beach volleyball and beach tennis.
Le Domaine Nouméa expands Marriott’s presence in the capital
The largest of the three properties, Le Domaine Nouméa, Series by Marriott, sits on Anse Vata Bay in New Caledonia’s capital.
The beachfront hotel has 207 guestrooms, including 34 suites, with private balconies overlooking either the gardens or lagoon.
Its food and beverage offering includes Le Sextant, serving breakfast and weekend brunch; beachfront bar and lounge Le Faré; and Latitude 22, a café and grab-and-go venue with a garden terrace.
The resort also offers direct beach access, an outdoor pool, fitness centre, Deep Nature Spa and business facilities.
Seven meeting rooms are available, including the Laperouse Ballroom, which can accommodate events for up to 400 guests. The property is also adjacent to the Grand Casino and close to Anse Vata Beach.
Three New Caledonia resorts join Marriott Bonvoy
All three Le Domaine du Pacifique properties will participate in Marriott Bonvoy, allowing members to earn and redeem points as part of Marriott International’s global loyalty programme.
The agreement is also intended to retain the individual identity of each hotel while providing access to Marriott’s international reach.
“With these new agreements, we are opening a new page in our relationship with Marriott International,” said Brieuc Frogier, President of Promosud, SHN Administrator and Second Vice-President of New Caledonia’s Southern Province in charge of tourism.
Frogier said the partnership would allow the hotels to strengthen their individual identities while benefiting from Marriott International’s global expertise and distribution.
The expansion gives Series by Marriott three locations across New Caledonia and increases Marriott’s footprint in a South Pacific destination known for its UNESCO-listed lagoons, beaches and distinctive blend of Melanesian, French and wider Pacific influences.
