Marriott Signs Seven Thailand Hotels with FICO Corporation

Marriott International has signed an agreement with FICO Corporation for seven hotels across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket, adding a projected 1,262 rooms to its Thailand portfolio.

Announced on 7 October 2026, the deal includes a new JW Marriott in Bangkok and the planned Thai debuts of citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton and Series by Marriott. Opening dates have not been announced.

The agreement expands an existing partnership between Marriott and FICO, taking their combined portfolio of operating and planned properties to 11 hotels across eight brands.

“We are delighted to further strengthen our relationship with FICO Corporation through this significant expansion in Thailand,” said Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with FICO to bring this vision to life across Thailand’s dynamic urban and leisure destinations.”

Five Hotels Planned for Bangkok

The largest property in the agreement is JW Marriott Bangkok Sathorn, expected to offer 288 rooms. Plans include sports and fitness facilities, with an emphasis on wellness and spaces for socialising alongside the hotel accommodation.

citizenM Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 will introduce the brand to Thailand with an anticipated 147 rooms. The property will combine citizenM’s focus on technology and contemporary design with a food and beverage venue in the Sukhumvit district.

Three hotels will establish Four Points Flex by Sheraton in the country:

  • Bangkok Sukhumvit 8: 162 rooms.
  • Bangkok Sukhumvit 14: 130 rooms.
  • Bangkok Surawong: 201 rooms.

The properties are planned near Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain network, targeting travellers seeking practical accommodation with a focus on value and efficient service.

Series by Marriott Heads to Pattaya and Phuket

The agreement also brings Series by Marriott to two of Thailand’s main resort destinations.

Easy Planet North Pattaya, Series by Marriott is expected to have 192 rooms, while Easy Planet Phuket Patong, Series by Marriott will offer 142.

The collection brand combines locally distinctive hotels with Marriott’s service standards, focusing on straightforward, comfortable stays.

Partnership Builds on Four Existing Bangkok Hotels

Marriott and FICO already collaborate on Hotel Muse Bangkok, Autograph Collection; Marriott Executive Apartments Bangkok Townhall Sukhumvit; Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit; and Metropole Bangkok, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.

FICO Chairman Krit Srichawla said the expanded portfolio would reflect changing priorities among travellers.

“As we look ahead, I believe wellness, sports and lifestyle will play an increasingly important role in how people travel and live,” he said.

“This expansion gives us the opportunity to bring that thinking into our hospitality portfolio and create experiences that are relevant not only to our guests, but also to the communities around us.”
