Marriott Bonvoy Launches 37 NFL Player-Curated City Guides for 2026 Season

Marriott Bonvoy Launches 37 NFL Player-Curated City Guides for 2026 Season

Marriott Bonvoy is combining sports and travel with the launch of 37 City Guides curated by current and former NFL players, covering every U.S. and international destination hosting an NFL game during the 2026 season.

The guides feature personal recommendations from players including Cooper Kupp, Jordan Mailata, Fred Warner, Jerry Rice and Todd Gurley, giving travelling fans ideas for exploring destinations beyond the stadium.

International NFL host cities covered by the project include Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, London, Paris and Madrid as the league continues to expand its schedule outside the United States.

NFL Players Share Their Favorite Places

Each Marriott Bonvoy City Guide focuses on local traditions, restaurants, attractions and lesser-known places connected to the featured player’s experience of the destination.

The guides were designed by social media artist Jeff Cole and will be released throughout the NFL season.

The first collection includes Cooper Kupp’s guide to Seattle, Jordan Mailata’s Philadelphia, Jerry Rice’s Mexico City, Mark Ingram II’s Rio de Janeiro and Todd Gurley’s Melbourne.

Future releases will include Fred Warner covering San Francisco and Kyle Hamilton sharing recommendations for Baltimore, with additional players and destinations to be announced during the season.

“Now, traveling fans who go to incredible lengths to see their favorite team play can experience NFL cities through the lens of those very same players,” said Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at Marriott International.

“It is another way we are helping members turn their passions into meaningful travel experiences and lasting memories.”

Marriott Plans NFL Travel Packages and Experiences

The City Guides form part of a wider season-long Marriott Bonvoy campaign built around NFL travel.

Marriott plans to introduce experiences at selected hotels alongside a new 10-episode content series featuring players exploring their home destinations.

The company will also offer experiences through Marriott Bonvoy Moments, its loyalty platform that allows members to redeem points for events and other activities.

Selected NFL markets will receive City Guide travel packages combining hotel accommodation with game tickets and local experiences.

The strategy reflects the growing role of sports tourism for hotel groups, particularly as the NFL adds more international games and travelling supporters increasingly combine games with destination breaks.

International NFL Cities Take Bigger Role

While the City Guides cover the league’s traditional U.S. markets, Marriott is placing particular emphasis on the NFL’s expanding international schedule.

The inclusion of Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, London, Paris and Madrid gives the campaign a considerably broader travel focus than a traditional U.S.-based NFL partnership.

Marriott operates hotels across the international host markets, allowing the company to connect its global accommodation portfolio with fans travelling specifically to attend games.

The campaign is supported by Marriott Bonvoy’s new Long-Distance NFL Relationships advertising campaign, focused on supporters who travel to follow teams despite living far from their home markets.

It forms part of Marriott Bonvoy’s wider Where Gameday Checks In platform.

Super Bowl Sleepover Suite Returns

Marriott Bonvoy is also bringing back its Super Bowl Sleepover Suite.

The promotion gives one winner the opportunity to spend the night before the Super Bowl inside SoFi Stadium, with a luxury suite converted into a hotel room for the occasion.

The sweepstakes runs until December 15, 2026, subject to eligibility requirements.

Marriott has used the unusual accommodation experience as part of its NFL partnership in previous seasons, connecting its core hotel business with one of the biggest events on the U.S. sporting calendar.

For the 2026 season, the addition of the 37 City Guides expands that relationship into destination content, encouraging NFL fans to treat away games and international fixtures as broader travel experiences rather than simply trips to the stadium.
