Air India has launched an online duty-free shopping service with Adani Airport Holdings, allowing international travellers to browse, pre-order and pay for purchases through the airline’s website and mobile app.
Passengers can place orders before travelling and collect their packaged purchases at designated airport duty-free counters. The service covers both international departures and arrivals at participating airports.
Where the Service Is Available
The platform is available for eligible journeys through seven Indian airports:
- Ahmedabad
- Jaipur
- Lucknow
- Mangaluru
- Mumbai
- Navi Mumbai
- Thiruvananthapuram
Eligibility also extends to customers on codeshare itineraries, including flights operated by Air India Express. The partners plan to introduce the service at additional gateways in later phases.
Launch Discounts of Up to 25%
Introductory offers include savings of up to 25% against standard retail shelf prices, with additional bank offers and seasonal promotions available where applicable.
The online catalogue includes cosmetics, fragrances, chocolates, confectionery, consumer electronics and premium spirits.
By ordering in advance, travellers can select and pay for their purchases before reaching the airport, leaving collection for their arrival or departure.
Maharaja Club Members Earn Points
Members of Air India’s Maharaja Club will automatically earn three Maharaja Points for every INR 100 spent on qualifying duty-free purchases.
The loyalty benefit is available alongside the introductory discounts, linking airport shopping with the airline’s rewards programme.
The launch adds retail services to Air India’s digital booking and travel channels, combining the airline’s website and app with Adani Airports’ duty-free operations.
