JetBlue’s BlueHouse Lounge at JFK Named Best Airport Lounge in Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards

JetBlue’s BlueHouse lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) has been named Best Airport Lounge in the Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards 2026, earning the top spot in the consumer-voted travel rankings.

The recognition comes less than a year after the airline opened its first-ever airport lounge in Terminal 5, reinforcing JetBlue’s strategy of expanding its premium ground experience for customers.

JetBlue’s First Airport Lounge

BlueHouse opened in December 2025 as JetBlue’s flagship lounge, occupying a 9,000-square-foot, two-level space inside JFK’s Terminal 5.

Inspired by New York apartments and Art Deco architecture, the lounge combines residential-style interiors with artwork, comfortable seating and dedicated areas for both work and relaxation.

Facilities include high-speed Wi-Fi, quiet spaces, a games room and numerous charging points throughout the lounge.

Local Food and Beverage Partners

JetBlue has partnered with several New York businesses to create the lounge’s food and beverage offering.

Guests can enjoy meals prepared by Union Square Events, coffee from Joe Coffee, cocktails featuring The Greats of Craft, and drinks from the team behind Please Don’t Tell (PDT).

The airline says the concept was designed to create a distinctly New York experience rather than a traditional airport lounge.

Boston Lounge to Open Next

The award comes as JetBlue prepares to expand the BlueHouse concept beyond New York.

The airline plans to open its second BlueHouse lounge later this summer in Terminal C at Boston Logan International Airport, extending its premium lounge offering to another key hub.

Access to BlueHouse is available to eligible TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members, JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard cardholders and passengers travelling in Mint on transatlantic flights.

Passenger Experience in Focus

The Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards are based on public voting and recognise businesses that deliver outstanding customer experiences across multiple industries.

For JetBlue, the award highlights its continued investment in enhancing the passenger journey both on the ground and in the air as it expands its premium products and services.
