easyJet has introduced a ChatGPT integration that lets travellers search for flights and package holidays, view live prices and availability, and check flight status within a conversation.
Announced on 5 October 2026, the integration connects trip research with easyJet’s booking channels. Customers are directed to easyJet.com for flights or easyJet.com/holidays for packages to complete their purchase.
Live Search and Flight Updates
Customers can access the service by connecting the easyJet plugin through the ChatGPT website or mobile app.
Once connected, they can search for flights and easyJet holidays packages using conversational prompts. Results draw on live availability and pricing, while passengers with an upcoming journey can check their flight’s live status.
Bookings are completed on easyJet’s websites rather than within the chat.
“We’re always looking at how technology can make travel easier for our customers, from booking through to boarding, and we know more and more people are using AI to discover, research and plan their trips,” said Ian Chambers, Digital Director at easyJet and easyJet holidays.
“By bringing easyJet flight and package holiday search, as well as live flight information, directly into ChatGPT, we’re making it easier for customers to find the information they need in the places they’re increasingly choosing to search.”
Airline Reports Growth in AI Travel Planning
The launch follows research commissioned by easyJet in which 51% of respondents said they had used AI to plan a trip. A further 17% were considering doing so.
Among respondents already using AI for travel planning, 62% had used ChatGPT, making it the most popular platform in the survey.
The research was conducted between 30 July and 4 August 2026 among 500 UK adults who had flown within the previous 12 months.
easyJet also reported a 400% year-on-year increase in organic traffic from ChatGPT to its flight website. Traffic from the platform to easyJet holidays rose by 125% over the same comparison period. The company did not disclose the underlying visitor numbers.
Package Holidays Included Alongside Flights
The integration covers easyJet holidays as well as the airline’s flight network.
Launched in 2019, the package holiday business operates from the UK, Switzerland, Germany and France. It carried more than 3.1 million holidaymakers in 2025 and offers accommodation at more than 10,000 hotels across over 100 destinations in Europe and North Africa.
The new search channel gives customers access to both flight-only options and package holidays while researching their next trip.
