
Changi Airports International to Manage Vietnam's Cam Ranh International Airport Terminal 2

Changi Airports International partners with Cam Ranh International Joint Stock Company to manage Cam Ranh International Airport Terminal 2, aiming to enhance non-aeronautical businesses and international route development.
In a significant move to enhance Vietnam's aviation sector, Changi Airports International (CAI) has signed an agreement with Cam Ranh International Joint Stock Company (CRTC) during the Singapore Airshow. This partnership marks a strategic step towards managing the non-aeronautical businesses of Cam Ranh International Airport's Terminal 2 (CRX's Terminal 2) and bolstering its international route development.
This collaboration represents the first of its kind under a cooperation framework between CAI and Legacy Infrastructure (Legacy), combining CAI's global expertise in airport management and investment with Legacy's regional resources. The partnership aims to introduce innovative solutions to improve connectivity, efficiency, and competitiveness within the Vietnam aviation industry.
Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR), serving as a gateway to Nha Trang City and the Khanh Hoa province, stands as the fourth busiest international airport in Vietnam. Over the next five years, CAI and CRTC will focus on accelerating revenue growth for CRX's Terminal 2 and enhancing passenger experiences, with an option to extend the contract for an additional five years.
CRX’s Terminal 2, fully owned by CRTC, partners with over 30 airlines and connects to more than 100 destinations globally. This agreement is poised to increase connectivity with major airports worldwide and attract more international partners, boosting CRTC's competitive edge and appeal.
Eugene Gan, CEO of CAI, expressed enthusiasm about leveraging their experience to elevate the passenger experience at Cam Ranh International Airport and to contribute to its growth as a leading airport in Vietnam. Gan highlighted the airport's crucial role in driving tourism development for Nha Trang.
Johnathan Nguyen, Chairman of CRTC, emphasized the partnership's significance in enhancing service quality, implementing advanced technology, and fostering global connections with airlines and airports. This collaboration is viewed as a pioneering model for airport management cooperation in Vietnam, promising opportunities for both CAI and CRTC in airport operations and strategic collaborations.
Hong Dijun, CEO of Legacy, reiterated their commitment to Vietnam as a strategic market in Asia, with plans to introduce additional infrastructure projects.
