LOT Returns to Bangkok with Direct Flights from Warsaw

LOT Returns to Bangkok with Direct Flights from Warsaw

LOT Polish Airlines launched direct flights between Warsaw and Bangkok on 7 October 2026, restoring scheduled service to the Thai capital after an absence of more than two decades.

Operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, the route connects Warsaw Chopin Airport with Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. Flights initially run three times a week, increasing to six weekly services in each direction from 2 November.

The journey takes approximately 10 hours and 20 minutes outbound and 11 hours and 15 minutes on the return.

Six Weekly Flights Planned for Winter

Between 7 and 25 October, flight LO65 departs Warsaw at 15:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Return flight LO66 leaves Bangkok at 09:05 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

The schedule increases during the transition to the winter season. From 26 October to 1 November, LOT will operate five departures to Bangkok and four to Warsaw.

From 2 November, Warsaw departures will run every day except Friday, leaving at 14:45. Return flights will depart Bangkok at 09:05 daily except Saturday. All times are local.

For the summer schedule between 28 March and 28 October 2027, LOT plans three weekly flights to Bangkok.

More Connections Between Central Europe and Thailand

The route adds another Asian destination to LOT’s long-haul network and provides an additional option for passengers connecting through Warsaw from Central and Eastern Europe.

“The launch of direct flights from Warsaw marks another step in strengthening LOT’s presence in this part of the world and offers our passengers a faster, more convenient way to reach Thailand,” said Robert Ludera, Board Member and Chief Commercial Officer of LOT Polish Airlines.

“The new connection will also help deepen ties between Poland and Thailand and reinforce Warsaw’s role as a natural transit hub for Central European passengers traveling to Asia.”

Flights arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport, approximately 30 kilometres east of central Bangkok. The Thai capital serves both business and leisure travellers, as well as those continuing to other destinations in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

A Route with Roots in 1977

LOT first served Bangkok in 1977, when it launched its first scheduled Far East route. Early flights operated via Dubai and Mumbai using Ilyushin Il-62 aircraft.

The later introduction of Boeing 767s made nonstop service possible. LOT suspended its regular Warsaw–Bangkok flights in March 2000.

Tickets for the restored route are available through the airline’s website, app, contact centre and LOT Travel offices.
