British Airways has revealed redesigned cabins across all four travel classes on its Airbus A380 fleet, with the first refurbished aircraft expected to enter service in the coming months.
The overhaul includes new seats and entertainment screens in First, Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller, alongside redesigned galleys and stairways. Each aircraft will require the installation of more than 35,000 individual parts.
The upper deck will be devoted entirely to business class, with 106 Club Suites across four cabin sections. British Airways describes it as the world’s largest business class cabin.
“This is a major milestone for British Airways and the future of our A380 fleet, marking one of the most significant transformations we’ve ever undertaken on any aircraft,” said Sean Doyle, Chairman and CEO of British Airways.
Club Suite Takes Over the Upper Deck
The A380 will receive an updated version of British Airways’ Club Suite, with additional storage, revised functionality and a colour palette drawing on the airline’s blue, red and cream branding.
Although the upper deck will accommodate 106 business class passengers, the layout divides seating into four sections intended to create a more intimate atmosphere. Dedicated areas to spend time away from the seat, Club Kitchens and redesigned galleys will also feature.
Club World passengers will receive the airline’s latest amenity kits, available in four designs by British artists through the Rise Art platform, with products from wellness brand anatomē.
New First Suite Offers Shared Dining Space
First will feature the suite initially unveiled in 2024, with centre-seat dividers that open to create a shared space for passengers travelling together. Stowable tables will allow companions to dine together.
An integrated minibar will hold snacks and still and sparkling water.
The wider First refresh also brings new bedding, sleepwear and amenities. Navy sleepwear, slippers, a woven day blanket and a cushion were introduced from 1 October, while a new Swaine amenity kit became available from 6 October.
Offered in royal blue or cream, the kit contains Wildsmith skincare products, including face mist, moisturiser, lip balm and an overnight mask.

For sleeping, crew will prepare the suite with a mattress, lightweight cotton duvet and a redesigned pillow.
Economy and Premium Economy Get New Seats
World Traveller, British Airways’ economy cabin, will have wider seats and larger entertainment screens. Updated bedding includes pillows with additional filling and thicker blankets in the airline’s signature blue.
In World Traveller Plus, the premium economy seats will feature larger screens and privacy wings, accompanied by new bedding and pillows.
Passengers will also receive a reusable tote-style amenity kit containing Dr.PAWPAW balm, a dental kit, socks and an eye mask.
First Dining Changes Extend Beyond the A380
Alongside the aircraft refurbishment, British Airways introduced a new dining service across its long-haul First cabins from 1 October.
A “From the Grill” menu allows passengers to combine proteins, sides and sauces, with options including British roast rack of lamb and grilled salmon. A separate selection of signature main courses will also be available.
The service uses new stoneware and fine bone china, cutlery by Studio William, and wine glasses developed with Richard Brendon and wine expert Jancis Robinson.
British Airways is also rolling out updated First Service Specialist training to all First-trained cabin crew, with an emphasis on adapting service to individual passenger preferences.
The airline has not specified an exact entry-into-service date or initial routes for the first refurbished A380.
