Delta Air Lines will introduce nonstop flights between Salt Lake City and Flagstaff, Arizona, on 7 June 2027, adding a year-round route with two daily services.
The connection will give travellers access to northern Arizona through Delta’s Salt Lake City hub, with Flagstaff serving as a starting point for visits to Sedona and the Grand Canyon.
SkyWest Airlines will operate the flights under the Delta Connection brand using CRJ-550 aircraft.
Access to Sedona and the Grand Canyon
Flagstaff combines outdoor recreation with a historic downtown and stargazing opportunities, making it a destination in its own right as well as a base for exploring the surrounding region.
Sedona’s red-rock landscapes are approximately 50 minutes away by road, while the Grand Canyon’s South Rim is around a 90-minute drive, according to Delta.
The twice-daily schedule will offer options for passengers travelling from Salt Lake City and those connecting through the airport from elsewhere in Delta’s network.
Delta Expands Its Salt Lake City Network
Flagstaff follows two other recently announced additions from Salt Lake City: Santa Rosa/Sonoma County, scheduled to launch on 6 October 2026, and Monterey, starting on 19 December 2026.
Delta operates 270 peak-day departures from Salt Lake City to more than 100 destinations worldwide. Its international network from the hub includes Amsterdam, London, Paris and Seoul.
The airport also has two Delta Sky Clubs. The Concourse B lounge, which opened in 2025, covers nearly 34,000 square feet and accommodates up to 600 guests. It is the airline’s second-largest lounge, with airfield views and interiors inspired by Utah’s landscapes.
