Chase and IHG Launch Premier Select Card and Revamp Travel Benefits

Chase and IHG Hotels & Resorts have introduced the IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card, alongside changes to three existing cards in their portfolio. Announced on 1 October 2026, the launch adds new hotel dining rewards, airline credits and ways to earn elite status through the IHG One Rewards programme.

The new Premier Select card carries a $350 annual fee and includes automatic Platinum Elite status, an anniversary free night and 20 Elite Night Credits each calendar year.

Existing cardholders will receive details in October about the changes applicable to their accounts and when each benefit takes effect. Annual fee adjustments for existing cardholders will follow in 2027.

Premier Select Adds Hotel Dining Rewards and Airline Credit

The Premier Select card offers up to $300 in annual Food & Beverage Rewards for use at IHG properties, a $200 annual statement credit on qualifying flight purchases and up to $50 in United TravelBank Cash.

Its anniversary free night has a redemption cap of 60,000 points, with cardholders able to add their own IHG One Rewards points to book a higher-priced reward night.

The card offers up to 28 points per dollar in total on IHG stays, six points per dollar on dining and other travel, including rideshare, and three points per dollar on other purchases.

Cardholders also receive the fourth reward night free when redeeming points for a consecutive four-night IHG stay.

The 20 annual Elite Night Credits unlock the programme’s first Milestone Reward upon account opening. A further two Elite Night Credits can be earned for every $5,000 spent on purchases.

“Guests today have more options than ever, and higher expectations about what their travel experience should be like,” said Paul Proctor, Senior Vice President of Global Loyalty and Partnerships at IHG Hotels & Resorts.

“With one of the world’s largest hotel portfolios and a loyalty program designed around choice and flexibility, we’re continuing to create more ways for members to get value out of every hotel stay. These enhanced Chase credit cards help bring that commitment to life.”

Changes to Premier, Business and No-Fee Cards

The IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card, with an announced annual fee of $150, adds up to $100 in annual Food & Beverage Rewards and a $100 annual airline statement credit on qualifying flight purchases.

Its anniversary free night redemption cap rises to 50,000 points, with the option to add existing points. The updated benefits include automatic Gold Elite status, 15 annual Elite Night Credits and five points per dollar on grocery purchases, alongside other eligible spending categories.

The IHG One Rewards Business Credit Card, previously called the Premier Business card, has an announced annual fee of $200. It adds up to $100 each in annual Food & Beverage Rewards, qualifying airline statement credits and statement credits towards Expensify purchases.

The Business card retains automatic Platinum Elite status and offers an anniversary free night capped at 50,000 points, with points top-ups permitted. It also adds 15 annual Elite Night Credits.

Both the Premier and Business cards offer two additional Elite Night Credits for every $5,000 spent on purchases and a fourth reward night free on qualifying four-night points stays.

The no-annual-fee IHG One Rewards Credit Card, formerly the Traveler card, adds five annual Elite Night Credits and three points per dollar on grocery purchases. It retains automatic Silver Elite status, while access to the fourth reward night free benefit requires $5,000 in card purchases.
