Continued volcanic ash emissions from Mount Etna have prompted a suspension of flight operations, according to an airport notice issued on 27 September 2026.
The notice stated that all flight operations would remain suspended until 12 noon on Monday, 28 September. Passengers were advised to check their flight status directly with their airline before travelling to the airport.
