LOT Polish Airlines will launch a new year-round route between Gdansk and Paris-Orly in April 2027, adding another direct connection between Poland and the French capital.
The first flight is scheduled for April 5, 2027, with the Polish flag carrier operating the route four times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flights will depart Gdansk at 5:00 PM, while return services from Paris-Orly will leave at 8:20 PM. The journey is expected to take approximately two hours and 15 minutes.
Tickets for the new route are already on sale through LOT’s distribution channels.
New Paris route will replace Gdansk-Oslo service
The introduction of Gdansk-Paris Orly forms part of LOT Polish Airlines’ ongoing network optimisation and will replace the carrier’s existing Gdansk-Oslo connection.
The airline sees the new service as an opportunity to strengthen its regional network while improving direct connectivity between Poland’s Pomerania region and France.
“Paris is one of key European economic and business centers, and also one of the most important tourist destinations,” said Robert Ludera, Board Member and Chief Commercial Officer at LOT Polish Airlines.
“The launch of a direct flight from Gdansk strengthens the offering of LOT Polish Airlines available on the regional market and opens up new travel opportunities between Pomerania region and France.”
LOT marks 80 years of flights to Paris
The new route comes as LOT celebrates 80 years since launching its first direct service between Poland and Paris.
The airline’s first Warsaw-Paris flight took place on July 4, 1946, establishing a connection that has since become a longstanding part of LOT’s European network.
“In the year marking the 80th anniversary of launching the original Warsaw-Paris connection, we are writing a new chapter of the story by adding Gdansk,” Ludera added.
The new service will give travellers from northern Poland direct access to one of Europe’s largest tourism and business destinations without the need to connect through Warsaw or another hub.
Paris-Orly offers direct metro access to central Paris
LOT will operate the route to Paris-Orly Airport, located approximately 13 kilometres south of central Paris.
Orly’s proximity to the city and improved public transport connections make it an increasingly convenient alternative to Paris Charles de Gaulle for travellers whose final destination is central or southern Paris.
Metro Line 14 provides a direct connection from the airport into central Paris, with journeys taking approximately 25 to 30 minutes. The line serves major transport points including Gare de Lyon and Châtelet-Les Halles.
Passengers can also reach the city using the T7 tram and several bus services.
The new route adds to the growing international connectivity available from Gdansk and provides another direct link between northern Poland and a major Western European city.
