IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened Kimpton Quinta da Marinha in Cascais, marking the second Kimpton property in Portugal and expanding the group’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio on the country’s Atlantic coast.
Set between the Atlantic Ocean and the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, the 194-room resort combines boutique luxury with wellness, outdoor experiences and locally inspired dining, just a short drive from Lisbon.
Boutique Luxury Surrounded by Nature
Located within the Quinta da Marinha estate, the resort has been designed to reflect the natural landscape surrounding Cascais. Interiors feature Portuguese craftsmanship, natural materials and earthy tones inspired by the nearby coastline and forests.
Accommodation includes 180 guestrooms, eight suites and six signature suites, with views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the resort’s golf course or the surrounding woodland.
The property also offers Natur Spa, featuring seven treatment rooms, a jacuzzi, sauna and a range of wellness therapies focused on relaxation and recovery.
Dining Inspired by Portuguese Flavours
The resort offers several dining venues centred on contemporary Portuguese cuisine.
Guests can enjoy cocktails, wines and light bites at FICA!, while Ao Ponto specialises in grilled meats, local seafood and seasonal ingredients. An outdoor pool bar provides drinks and casual refreshments throughout the day.
IHG says the dining concepts are intended to create social spaces where guests can experience local flavours in both relaxed and fine dining settings.
Golf, Wellness and Outdoor Experiences
Kimpton Quinta da Marinha offers direct access to an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, along with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts and padel facilities.
Its location also places guests close to Guincho Beach, hiking trails in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and the cultural attractions of Cascais, including galleries, local markets and vineyards.
The hotel will also organise small-group experiences with local artisans, giving visitors the opportunity to discover traditional Portuguese crafts and regional culture.

Guests will have access to Kimpton’s signature brand experiences, including Kimpton Kickstart, which offers complimentary morning coffee and tea, and Kimpton Social Hour, an evening gathering featuring complimentary drinks and light refreshments.
