EVA Air will launch a new nonstop route between Taipei and Delhi on 1 December 2026, expanding its Asian network and becoming the only Taiwan-based airline to operate direct passenger flights to India.
The new service will operate five times per week using Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with bookings now available through EVA Air and travel agencies.
Five Weekly Flights Between Taipei and Delhi
The new route will operate every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Flight BR367 will depart Taipei at 11:00, arriving in Delhi at 15:35, while the return service, BR368, will leave Delhi at 19:55 and arrive in Taipei the following morning at 04:20.
The airline says the route has been introduced in response to growing business and travel demand between Taiwan and India.
Improved Connections Across India and North America
Through its partnership with Air India, a fellow Star Alliance member, EVA Air passengers will be able to connect beyond Delhi to destinations across India.
At the same time, travellers departing from India will gain easier access to EVA Air’s network across North America via its Taipei hub.
The airline expects the route to appeal to business travellers, students, researchers and passengers visiting friends and relatives as economic ties between Taiwan and India continue to strengthen.
Transit Benefits Through Taiwan
Eligible Indian passport holders travelling to the United States or Canada may also benefit from Taiwan’s conditional visa-waiver transit programme, allowing easier stopovers in Taipei before continuing to their final destination.
The airline believes the programme will help encourage both transit traffic and tourism to Taiwan.
Expanding Travel Opportunities
Delhi also serves as the gateway to India’s popular Golden Triangle tourism circuit, connecting the capital with Agra and Jaipur.
To coincide with the new route, EVA Air will work with travel partners in Taiwan to offer escorted tours ranging from six to nine days, featuring UNESCO World Heritage Sites, cultural attractions and premium accommodation.
The Delhi service further strengthens EVA Air’s strategy of connecting Asia with North America through its Taipei hub while continuing to expand its international route network.
