Air France has opened a new lounge at Frankfurt International Airport (FRA), introducing a nearly 500-square-metre space in the airport’s new Terminal 3.
The lounge opened on September 1, 2026 and offers close to 120 seats alongside panoramic views of the airport runways.
Operated in partnership with Global Lounge Network, the facility is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and is available to eligible Air France Business passengers and Flying Blue Elite Plus members, as well as qualifying KLM and SkyTeam customers.
Nearly 120 Seats Across 500 Square Metres
The new Frankfurt lounge was designed by Air France in collaboration with MARKS Brandimage.
Its interior follows the airline’s established lounge design language, combining shades of blue and white with red details.
References to Air France’s history appear throughout the space, including the airline’s winged seahorse symbol and a collection of vintage travel posters.
Furniture includes pieces by French designers Pierre Paulin and Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec.
Passengers can choose between different seating areas depending on whether they want to work, eat or relax before their flight.
A separate quiet area is positioned away from the main lounge, while a dedicated workspace includes a soundproof booth.
French Dining Area Seats Around 50 Guests
The lounge’s dining area can accommodate approximately 50 passengers and features an open layout connecting the kitchen and seating areas.
Food options change throughout the day and include both sweet and savoury dishes, with vegetarian choices available.
The drinks selection includes French wines and Champagne alongside locally brewed beers and non-alcoholic beverages.
Air France said it is prioritising seasonal and locally sourced ingredients while also working to reduce food waste and improve the sorting and recycling of catering waste.
Dedicated Space for Flying Blue Ultimate Members
Flying Blue Ultimate members have access to an exclusive area within the lounge.
The private section features cocoon-style seating and is designed to provide a quieter environment while retaining convenient access to the lounge’s other facilities.
Elsewhere, passengers have access to complimentary Wi-Fi, television screens and numerous power outlets and USB charging ports.
French and international newspapers and magazines are available digitally through the Air France Press app.
Automated eligibility kiosks have also been installed at the entrance to speed up access for qualifying passengers.
Air France Operates Up to Five Daily Frankfurt-Paris Flights
The opening strengthens Air France’s presence at Frankfurt, one of the major destinations on its European network.
During the 2026 summer schedule, Air France is operating up to five daily flights between Frankfurt and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
The services provide onward connections through the airline’s Paris hub to destinations across its international network.
The new Frankfurt facility forms part of Air France’s wider investment in its premium ground experience, bringing its current lounge concept to the recently opened Terminal 3.
