Emirates is celebrating the British summer with a seasonal strawberry menu available across all cabin classes on flights between Dubai and the UK from July 13 to 31, continuing a tradition that has become a popular annual fixture on the route.
The menu differs by direction of travel, giving passengers something new on both legs. Flying from Dubai to the UK, First Class passengers receive honey cake with strawberry compote and clotted cream, Business and Premium Economy a strawberry tart with pistachio sauce, and Economy a cream cheese mousse with strawberry compote and hazelnut streusel.
On the return from the UK to Dubai, First Class serves up a classic Eton Mess with meringue, mascarpone cream, and strawberry compote, Business gets white chocolate cheesecake with strawberry and basil confit, Premium Economy strawberry panna cotta with coulis, and Economy a strawberry cheesecake with crumble topping.

The centerpiece ingredient is the Monterrey strawberry variety, sourced from Bustanica — the world’s largest indoor vertical farm, co-owned by Emirates — which uses hydroponic vertical farming technology to produce the fruit with significantly reduced water consumption. More than 10 kilograms of Bustanica strawberries are served on Emirates flights each day, picked and onboard within 12 hours. Emirates also partners with UK growers including Blush from UK and Hugh Lowe Farms in Kent for additional supply.
Passengers on the A380 Onboard Lounge can also enjoy fresh strawberries and cream, strawberry lemon cake, and strawberry-inspired cocktails and mocktails combining the fruit with fresh basil.
Behind the scenes, Emirates SkyCargo uses two weekly freighter services from Heathrow, one from Stansted, and the airline’s passenger belly capacity to move British strawberries to the UAE and beyond. Since March 2026, more than 230 tonnes — roughly 12 million strawberries — have been transported from the UK to the UAE through this supply chain.
