Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) announces new flight options available for booking, catering to customer demand and preferences. The new services include additional flights for popular events, the introduction of redeye operations, and new routes connecting key destinations across the country.

Special Flights for Football Fans

Expanded Service for College and Professional Football

As the Official Airline of the Southeastern Conference, Southwest Airlines is expanding its service for college and professional football fans. The airline is offering additional round-trip flights for several key games:

College Football:

  • Las Vegas; Sept. 1, 2024: Dallas (Love Field) to Las Vegas, Houston (Hobby) to Las Vegas
  • Ann Arbor, Mich.; Sept. 7, 2024: Dallas (Love Field) to Detroit
  • Norman, Okla.; Sept. 21, 2024: Nashville to Oklahoma City

Professional Football:

  • Atlanta; Sept. 22, 2024: Kansas City to Atlanta
  • Las Vegas; Sept. 29, 2024: Columbus to Las Vegas

Winter Getaways

Connecting Cold-Weather Cities to Warm Destinations

Starting January 7, 2025, Southwest will offer more flights from traditionally cold-weather cities to sunny Florida and California coasts. The new routes include:

  • Columbus to Miami
  • Chicago (Midway) to Palm Springs
  • Pittsburgh to Miami
  • Providence to West Palm Beach

Introducing Redeye Flights

Overnight Service Starting February 13, 2025

Southwest’s first redeye operations will launch on February 13, 2025, landing on Valentine’s Day. The initial redeye routes will connect major Southwest markets:

  • Las Vegas to Baltimore/Washington
  • Las Vegas to Orlando
  • Los Angeles to Baltimore/Washington
  • Los Angeles to Nashville
  • Phoenix to Baltimore/Washington
