Radisson Hotel Group has opened the new Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel, Manchester, a 401-room property located at Medlock Square on Manchester’s Etihad Campus.
The hotel officially welcomed its first guests on September 7, 2026, and marks the first development by Manchester City Football Club in partnership with Radisson Hotel Group. It is also the first completed project within Medlock Square, a new hospitality and entertainment destination being developed around the Etihad Stadium and Co-op Live arena.
Positioned directly between two of Manchester’s major sports and entertainment venues, the hotel is targeting football fans, concertgoers, business travellers and groups attending events across the Etihad Campus.
401 rooms, including Etihad Stadium views
Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel offers 401 rooms and suites, ranging from Standard, Premium and Deluxe Rooms to One-Bedroom Suites and dedicated Pitch View Rooms overlooking the Etihad Stadium.
The Pitch View Rooms can also be converted into hospitality suites on Manchester City matchdays.
At the top of the property is a two-storey Penthouse covering 153 square metres. It includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a 25-square-metre private terrace and panoramic views across Manchester, as well as a private arrival experience.
The hotel’s interiors take inspiration from Manchester’s industrial heritage, combining warm materials with locally influenced design elements.
New restaurants and bars at Medlock Square
Several food and beverage concepts are part of the new hotel.
Three Rivers Brasserie & Bar serves as the main all-day dining venue, while Blend Café Bar offers coffee, drinks and lighter dishes. Little Beast Restaurant is another of the hotel’s dining options.
Two additional venues are scheduled to open later in 2026: Brickworks Market Hall and Zadie’s Sky Bar, with the latter offering Pan-Asian dining and views across the Etihad Campus and Manchester skyline.
The wider Medlock Square development will add more restaurants, bars and cafés alongside several entertainment attractions.
Among the projects scheduled for the destination are an immersive Manchester City museum experience, a stadium roof walk and zip-wire, as well as a covered events space with capacity for up to 3,000 people. The space is expected to host live shows, sports screenings, seasonal events and brand activations.
Direct Metrolink connection to central Manchester
The hotel is located next to a Metrolink stop, providing connections to Manchester city centre in approximately 10 minutes.
Manchester Airport is around a 20-minute drive from the property, while the journey by public transport takes approximately 40 minutes.
The location is designed to make the hotel particularly convenient for visitors attending matches at Etihad Stadium or concerts and other events at Co-op Live, the UK’s largest indoor arena.
More than 30 event spaces across the Etihad Campus
The new Radisson Blu also strengthens the Etihad Campus as a meetings and events destination.
Hotel guests and event organisers can access more than 30 flexible venues across the campus, including hospitality facilities inside Etihad Stadium and the new 3,000-capacity Medlock Square event space.
The hotel’s Penthouse can also be used for smaller private events and executive gatherings for up to 50 guests.
Additional facilities at the hotel include a 24-hour fitness suite with virtual personal training technology.
Joep Peeters, Chief Operating Officer Franchise EMEA at Radisson Hotel Group, described the opening as a significant milestone for the group and Manchester.
“The property reflects the city’s character: welcoming, energetic and proudly authentic, and we are thrilled to welcome it into Radisson Hotel Group,” Peeters said.
Richard Pearson, General Manager of Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel, Manchester, said the property had been designed to serve the different types of visitors coming to the Etihad Campus.
“Whether guests are here for football, music, business or simply to experience the city, we want Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel, Manchester to be the place where every stay starts with a brilliant welcome,” Pearson said.
The opening comes as Manchester continues to expand its tourism and events infrastructure, with the Etihad Campus increasingly combining sport, live entertainment, hospitality and corporate events within the same area.
Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel is located at Etihad Campus, Alan Turing Way, Manchester M11 3FF, United Kingdom.
