Minor Hotels has received 22 MICHELIN Keys across 18 hotels in the 2026 selection, with nine properties earning their first distinctions. The recognised hotels span 13 countries and three of the group’s brands: Anantara, Avani and Tivoli.
Announced on 18 September, the selection awards Two Keys to four properties and One Key to 14. MICHELIN describes these categories as “an exceptional stay” and “a very special stay”, respectively.
Two hotels entered the selection at the Two Key level: Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel and Anantara Stanley & Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel. Another seven received One Key for the first time, while nine previously recognised properties retained their ratings.
Vienna and Victoria Falls Debut with Two Keys
Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel occupies a Neo-Renaissance palace on the Austrian capital’s Ringstrasse. Alongside its new Two Key distinction, the hotel is home to EDVARD, a restaurant holding one MICHELIN Star.
In Zimbabwe, Anantara Stanley & Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel also debuted with Two Keys, becoming the first Anantara property in Africa to receive MICHELIN Keys. The 16-suite hotel sits within the Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve, where guests can join game drives to see wildlife including endangered black rhino and zebras. Victoria Falls is around 15 minutes away by car.
The two newcomers join Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort in Thailand and Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel in the Netherlands, both of which retained Two Keys.
New One Key Hotels Across Five Regions
The latest selection extends recognition to several of Minor Hotels’ newer destinations.
In India, Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur Hotel earned One Key. The brand’s first Indian property is located on the outskirts of Jaipur, with architecture and interiors drawing on Rajasthan’s royal heritage and craftsmanship.
Two resorts in the United Arab Emirates also received their first Key. Anantara Mina Ras Al Khaimah Resort occupies a private peninsula and features overwater villas, while Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villa Resort has 30 pool villas within a protected wildlife reserve.
In the Seychelles, Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas earned One Key for its hillside retreat above Anse Louis on Mahé. Its Bill Bensley-designed villas overlook the ocean and surrounding gardens.
Europe’s new One Key recipients include Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel, a 19th-century palazzo on Piazza della Repubblica, and Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel in Portugal, which incorporates restored cellars belonging to Port wine house Kopke.
Tivoli São Paulo Mofarrej Hotel received One Key in Brazil, becoming the first Minor Hotels property in the Americas to earn the distinction.
Nine Hotels Retain Their MICHELIN Keys
Five properties first recognised in 2025 retained their ratings for a second year: Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel, Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel, Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas and FCC Angkor by Avani.
Four others have held their Keys since 2024: Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, Anantara Hua Hin Resort, Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort and Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavís Marbella Resort.
