Finnair Resumes Flights to Tampere and Turku from October 2026

Finnair will resume scheduled flights from Tampere and Turku airports to Helsinki Airport in October 2026, restoring air connections that were replaced by bus services in 2022–2023 and reconnecting both cities to Finnair's international network.

The airline will operate one daily overnight flight to each airport, timed to connect passengers with Finnair's morning departures to Europe and evening return services to Helsinki. Additional afternoon connections will also be available: the Oulu–Helsinki service will stop at Tampere, while the Stockholm–Helsinki flight will call at Turku before continuing to the capital. All flights will be operated with ATR aircraft seating 68 to 70 passengers.

The full schedule from October is as follows. For Tampere: overnight departure from Helsinki at 23:50, arriving 00:20; morning return at 06:00, arriving Helsinki 06:35; afternoon return at 12:20, arriving 12:50, with an Oulu–Tampere leg at 10:55–11:55. For Turku: overnight departure from Helsinki at 23:50, arriving 00:20; morning return at 06:00, arriving 06:35; afternoon return at 11:55, arriving 12:30, with a Stockholm–Turku leg at 09:45–11:30.

The daytime bus connection between Helsinki and both cities will continue alongside the new flights, but the late evening bus service will be discontinued once flights resume.

"The flights launching in October will seamlessly connect Tampere and Turku to Finnair's extensive network," said Finnair CEO Turkka Kuusisto.

The resumption of Tampere and Turku services is one of several route developments Finnair is announcing for autumn 2026, which also includes the launch of a new Helsinki–Melbourne route in October.
