Emirates is expanding its operations in Ghana with four additional weekly flights between Dubai and Accra from July 12, 2026, bringing its total service on the route to 11 weekly frequencies.

The new service, operating as EK789/EK790, will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Departures from Dubai are scheduled at 03:30, arriving in Accra at 07:40. Return flights depart Accra at 10:25, arriving in Dubai at 22:40. Each aircraft offers eight First Class suites, 42 Business Class lie-flat seats, and 304 Economy seats.

The expanded schedule is timed to provide Accra travelers with improved onward connections via Dubai to destinations including Beijing, Seoul, Sydney, Mumbai, Singapore, New York JFK, and Jeddah. Inbound connections from Delhi, Boston, Los Angeles, and gateways across Germany and the UK are also expected to benefit.

“The introduction of this additional service demonstrates our continued confidence in the Ghanaian market and our commitment to supporting the country’s growing travel needs,” said Salem Almana, Emirates’ Country Manager for Ghana.

The additional flights will also support cargo operations through Emirates SkyCargo, which currently uses the route to transport fresh cut fruit, electronics, textiles, and pharmaceuticals between Ghana and destinations including Prague and Zurich.
