EGYPTAIR will launch a new direct route between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Cairo International Airport in December, adding a year-round connection between Sweden and Egypt.
Flights will begin on December 18, 2026, with four weekly services operating on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The Egyptian flag carrier will use an Airbus A321neo with 182 seats, offering both Business Class and Economy Class on the route.
Four weekly flights between Stockholm and Cairo
The new service will connect Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) directly with Cairo International Airport (CAI), providing an additional option for leisure, business and visiting-friends-and-relatives traffic between Sweden and Egypt.
In addition to serving passengers travelling directly to Cairo, the route will provide connections through EGYPTAIR’s Cairo hub to destinations across Africa and the Middle East.

Cairo becomes more accessible from Sweden
The new service will also improve direct access from Sweden to one of North Africa’s largest tourism markets.
Cairo serves as the main gateway for many of Egypt’s best-known historical attractions, including the Pyramids of Giza and Saqqara, while also providing access to destinations along the Nile and elsewhere in the country.
For EGYPTAIR, the route also creates another European feeder service into its Cairo hub, where passengers can connect with the airline’s wider international network.
The use of the A321neo gives the carrier a narrow-body aircraft suited to operating the four-times-weekly service while maintaining a two-class cabin.
EGYPTAIR Stockholm-Cairo schedule
Flights will operate throughout the year rather than as a seasonal winter service.
The initial schedule will see departures every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, beginning December 18.
The launch strengthens Stockholm Arlanda’s connectivity with North Africa while giving passengers in Sweden another hub option for journeys to destinations beyond Cairo.
