Dubai Airport ATC Tower Redesigned to Display UAE Flag

Dubai Airports has revealed a redesigned Air Traffic Control tower at Dubai International Airport (DXB), placing the UAE flag at the center of one of the airport’s most iconic structures, visible to every arriving and departing passenger.

The unveiling was marked by a ceremonial airside event featuring a Dubai Police parade with the tower as its backdrop, attended by senior leaders from Dubai Airports, operational teams, and partners across the oneDXB community.

The 89-meter tower, which has been in operation since 2000, features a distinctive buttressed center column and arched wings. At its summit, a multilevel control center houses Dubai Air Navigation Services, which coordinates every aircraft movement at what has become the world’s busiest international airport. DXB has grown from a single runway in 1960 to handling tens of millions of passengers annually.

“By bringing the colours of the UAE flag to this iconic landmark, we are celebrating the ambition of the nation we serve, while recognising the extraordinary teams and partners who ensure DXB is always Flying the Flag, Connecting the World,” said Majed Al Joker, COO of Dubai Airports.
