City Express by Marriott has entered India with the opening of a 56-room hotel on the Udaipur–Nathdwara Highway in Rajasthan. The property also marks the brand’s debut in South Asia, expanding Marriott’s accommodation offering for business and leisure travellers in the region.
Named City Express by Marriott Udaipur Nathdwara Highway, the hotel focuses on practical facilities, straightforward service and value, with guest rooms featuring workspaces and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.
A base for Udaipur and Nathdwara visits
Located on National Highway 58, the hotel provides access to Udaipur and Nathdwara, one of Rajasthan’s major pilgrimage destinations. It is approximately 35 kilometres from Maharana Pratap Airport and 30 kilometres from Udaipur Railway Station.
Guests can use the property as a base for exploring Udaipur’s City Palace and lakes, as well as destinations in the surrounding region, including Eklingji, Delwara and Haldighati.
The location brings together several travel markets, from business trips to sightseeing and pilgrimage visits.
56 rooms with workspaces and Wi-Fi
Each of the hotel’s 56 rooms includes a dedicated workspace, LED television, mini refrigerator, electronic safe and USB charging ports, alongside complimentary internet access.
An all-day dining restaurant serves breakfast with local specialities and international dishes. A fitness centre offers cardio and strength-training equipment.
“As the first City Express by Marriott in India, we are proud to introduce a hotel experience built around what modern travelers value most: quality they can rely on, comfort without complexity and genuine hospitality,” said Abhishek Jha, the hotel’s General Manager.
Marriott broadens its presence in India
The opening introduces another Marriott brand to the Indian market, with City Express positioned around convenience, efficiency and modern comforts.
“India represents an important growth market for Marriott International, and the debut of City Express by Marriott further broadens the range of travel experiences we offer across the country,” said Cristiano Rinaldi, Chief Lodging Product & Services Officer, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International.
“We look forward to bringing this distinctive proposition to more guests as we expand the brand across the region.”
The hotel participates in Marriott Bonvoy, allowing members to earn and redeem points for their stays. Reservations are available through the property’s website.
