American Airlines opens new JFK Terminal 8

American Airlines has opened its newly upgraded Terminal 8 at John F. Kennedy International Airport, introducing a redesigned customer experience across its main international hub.

The terminal now features more than 60 new dining, retail and service concepts, including a mix of global brands and local New York businesses. At the center of the upgrade is The Boroughs Food Hall, a new space combining established and emerging food concepts.

The project also includes upgraded lounges, enhanced check-in areas, improved gate seating and modernized baggage systems, aimed at improving passenger flow and comfort.

Terminal 8 serves as American Airlines’ primary international gateway at JFK, handling more than 14 million passengers annually and connecting to over 95 destinations.
