Air India Opens Ludhiana’s Halwara Airport with Daily Flights

Air India has become the first airline to operate commercial flights to Ludhiana’s newly opened Halwara Airport, launching twice-daily services from Delhi on Friday.

The inaugural flight touched down at Halwara at 07:03 local time, with the return service departing at 08:00. The airline operates the route using A320 family aircraft across four daily flights in total — two in each direction.

The new route is designed to offer seamless connectivity beyond Delhi, linking Ludhiana passengers to Air India’s international network with a single ticket and unified baggage allowance. Destinations reachable via onward connections include London, Paris, Milan, Rome, and Birmingham, with same-terminal transfers available at Delhi airport between domestic and international flights.

The full schedule between Delhi and Ludhiana (Halwara) is as follows:

  • AI481 Delhi → Ludhiana: departs 05:55, arrives 07:05 (daily)
  • AI482 Ludhiana → Delhi: departs 07:55, arrives 09:10 (daily)
  • AI483 Delhi → Ludhiana: departs 12:55, arrives 14:10 (daily)
  • AI484 Ludhiana → Delhi: departs 14:40, arrives 15:55 (daily)

Tickets are available through Air India’s website, mobile app, and travel agents worldwide.
