Air China has launched a daily direct service between Milan Malpensa and Beijing Daxing International Airport, adding a fourth destination to its network from the Italian airport.
SEA Milan Airports and Air China marked the launch on June 18, 2026. According to the airport operator, Malpensa is the first airport in Italy to offer a direct connection to Beijing Daxing.
A Second Beijing Route from Milan
The new service is operated with an Airbus A330-300 and complements Air China’s existing flights from Malpensa to Beijing Capital, Chengdu and Shanghai.
With both Beijing airports now in its Milan network, the airline offers passengers a choice of arrival points in the Chinese capital. Its four destinations from Malpensa are:
- Beijing Capital
- Beijing Daxing
- Chengdu
- Shanghai
Supporting Travel Between Italy and China
The route expands direct connectivity between Northern Italy and China, supporting tourism and business travel between the two markets.
An inaugural ceremony at Malpensa’s Terminal 1 brought together representatives from the airline and the Chinese business and diplomatic communities. Attendees included Air China General Manager Li Duo, CCCIT President Cheng Xuan and Zhang Chenggang, China’s Consul General in Milan.
For Malpensa, the addition broadens its intercontinental network, while Air China further develops its presence in the Italian market.
