Silversea has introduced a new accommodation structure across its cruise fleet, reorganizing 17 existing suite types into four categories: Oceanview, Veranda, Residence and Villa.
The new classification is available for bookings from September 16, 2026, while additional benefits for passengers booking Residence and Villa suites will apply to departures from January 1, 2027.
The change covers both Silversea’s classic and expedition fleets and creates a clearer hierarchy between the cruise line’s different accommodation types.
Existing benefits offered across all Silversea suites, including butler service, 24-hour in-suite dining, Wi-Fi, beverages, dining, port fees, taxes and gratuities, will continue.
Silversea groups 17 suites into four categories
Under the new structure, Silversea’s existing accommodation types are divided according to their layout and features.
The Oceanview category includes Panorama and Vista suites, both offering large windows but no private balcony.
The Veranda category covers Premium Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Superior Veranda, Classic Veranda and Veranda suites, all featuring private balconies.
The Residence category includes Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Premium Medallion and Medallion suites. These accommodations provide separate bedroom and living areas.
At the top of the new structure, the Villa category comprises Otium, Master, Owner’s, Grand and Royal suites, Silversea’s largest accommodation types with expanded living areas and terraces.
New benefits for Residence suites from January 2027
Passengers booking Residence suites will receive additional priority benefits on sailings departing from January 1.
On Silversea’s Classic Voyages, Residence guests will receive priority embarkation.
They will also gain earlier access to onboard reservations, with spa treatments available to book 210 days before departure and dining reservations opening 150 days before sailing.
Oceanview and Veranda passengers will continue to receive Silversea’s existing suite inclusions but will not receive the additional Residence-level benefits.
Villa suites receive highest level of benefits
Villa guests will receive all Residence benefits alongside an additional set of services.
On eligible Classic Voyages, these will include priority embarkation, earlier suite access and a welcome escort. Private transfers will also be available when qualifying passengers book their airfare through Silversea.
Villa guests will be able to arrange private consultations with the ship’s chef, sommelier and spa manager and will receive additional in-suite dining and wellness options.
At selected disembarkation ports, Villa passengers will also be able to remain aboard for longer on the final day, retaining access to onboard facilities and Wi-Fi until closer to the ship’s next departure.
Additional privileges will apply on expedition cruises, including more flexibility when selecting Zodiac departure groups and priority access to kayaking sessions.
Changes apply across classic and expedition fleets
Silversea said the revised categories are intended to make differences between its 17 suite types clearer while adding more benefits to higher accommodation levels.

Bookings using the four new categories are available from September 16.
The additional Residence and Villa benefits will begin with voyages departing on or after January 1, 2027, across both Silversea’s traditional cruise ships and expedition fleet.
