MSC Cruises will deploy MSC Euribia to the Canary Islands and Madeira for the winter 2027-28 season, increasing capacity on a programme that will enter its fourth consecutive season.
The ship will operate seven-night itineraries across the Atlantic islands, with embarkation available from four ports.
As part of the deployment change, MSC Fantasia will take over MSC Euribia’s current Western Mediterranean winter programme, operating seven-night cruises from Barcelona.
Sales for both programmes are scheduled to open on September 28, 2026.
MSC Euribia moves to Canary Islands for winter 2027-28
MSC Euribia will operate a seven-night itinerary covering destinations across the Canary Islands and Madeira.
The programme will include calls at Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Funchal, Lanzarote and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, alongside a day at sea.
Passengers will be able to begin their cruise from four different embarkation ports: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Funchal, Arrecife and Santa Cruz de La Palma.
The deployment will mark MSC Cruises’ fourth season operating the winter programme in the region.
“The Canary Islands are an important part of our winter offering and a programme that our guests continue to value highly,” said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises.
Onorato said moving MSC Euribia to the region would increase capacity for the 2027-28 season.
One of MSC’s newest ships deployed to the region
MSC Euribia entered service in 2023 and is among the newer vessels in the MSC Cruises fleet.
The LNG-powered ship has shore power connectivity, advanced wastewater treatment and a range of energy-efficiency systems.
Its deployment represents an upgrade in ship capacity and onboard facilities for MSC’s established Canary Islands winter operation.
MSC Euribia also features the Galleria Euribia indoor promenade, multiple restaurants and entertainment venues, family facilities and the MSC Yacht Club ship-within-a-ship concept.
MSC Fantasia takes over Western Mediterranean route
The deployment will also result in a change to MSC Cruises’ winter operations in the Western Mediterranean.
MSC Fantasia will replace MSC Euribia on its current seven-night programme in the region.
The ship will operate round-trip itineraries from Barcelona calling at Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Palermo and La Goulette in Tunisia, together with one day at sea.
Embarkation will also be available at several ports along the itinerary.
The arrangement allows MSC Cruises to maintain its established Western Mediterranean winter schedule while transferring MSC Euribia to the Canary Islands.
Sales open September 28
Bookings for both winter 2027-28 programmes will open on September 28.
The deployment gives MSC Cruises two distinct seven-night winter operations, with MSC Euribia serving the Canary Islands and Madeira and MSC Fantasia covering the Western Mediterranean.
The move also continues the cruise line’s year-round presence in both regions while adding capacity to its Canary Islands programme for the 2027-28 winter season.
