Four Seasons Costa Rica unveils new Papagayo Suites as part of resort transformation

Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica is adding ten new residential-style suites as the first completed accommodation component of a wider enhancement programme at the luxury resort.

The new Papagayo Suites will welcome their first guests from December 17, 2026, with reservations already open.

Located within the resort overlooking Papagayo Bay, the one-bedroom suites have been designed around indoor-outdoor living, combining large private terraces with residential interiors and increased privacy.

“The new Papagayo Suites represent our continued investment in creating exceptional experiences for guests seeking the very best of Costa Rica,” said Brent Martin, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo.

“These beautifully designed accommodations offer a seamless connection to the destination while providing the comfort and privacy that our guests value most.”

New suites offer 112 square metres of living space

Each Papagayo Suite measures 112 square metres, or approximately 1,206 square feet.

The accommodation includes a king bedroom, separate living area and a large outdoor terrace, with views across Papagayo Bay.

Interiors feature bespoke furniture, sculptural lighting and marble bathrooms designed with a spa-inspired aesthetic.

The suites have been positioned to provide a greater sense of privacy while remaining within easy reach of the resort’s restaurants, spa, wellness facilities and recreational activities.

The residential approach reflects a wider trend in luxury resort accommodation towards larger spaces that allow guests to spend more time within their suite while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

Wider transformation underway at Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo

The opening forms part of a broader programme of upgrades currently underway at the Costa Rican resort.

Four Seasons is also redesigning the Miramar Presidential Suite and introducing changes to Nemare, one of the property’s signature dining venues.

Gathering and event spaces are being refreshed as part of the same programme, with the resort drawing on Costa Rica’s biodiversity and natural environment for the new designs.

The Papagayo Suites are the first new accommodation offering to be completed under the initiative.

Four Seasons builds on Costa Rica’s luxury tourism appeal

Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo is located on Costa Rica’s northwestern Pacific coast in Guanacaste, one of the country’s best-established luxury tourism destinations.

The Peninsula Papagayo area combines beaches and tropical landscapes with a growing collection of high-end resorts and private residences.

Four Seasons is positioning the new suites towards guests seeking longer, more residential stays while retaining access to the services and amenities of a full-service resort.

Experiences available at the property range from wellness and spa treatments to family activities and excursions around Guanacaste.

The resort also offers aerial tours of the coastline and activities at Papagayo Park as part of its destination-focused guest programme.

The ten Papagayo Suites are now available for booking for stays beginning December 17, 2026.
