Changi Airport to revamp private terminal

Changi Airport is set to redevelop its private terminal and expand its lifestyle offerings as part of a major upgrade scheduled for completion in mid-2027.

hangi Airport Group (CAG) has begun work on transforming the former CIP terminal into a new premium gateway, featuring an enhanced private terminal alongside an expanded lifestyle and amenities cluster connected to the existing Hub & Spoke area.

The new private terminal will be jointly operated by CAG and Plaza Premium Group, aiming to deliver a fully personalized travel experience for premium passengers. Facilities will include a luxury lounge, private suites, bespoke dining options and dedicated transfer services to boarding gates.

The development is designed to cater to growing demand for exclusive, high-end airport experiences, with a focus on privacy, comfort and seamless service.

Alongside the terminal upgrade, the Hub & Spoke cluster will be expanded to include new dining concepts, wellness facilities and pet-friendly spaces. A key feature of the expansion will be Changi Airport’s first covered amphitheatre and open-air plaza, designed to host events and community gatherings.

The new development will be located near Terminal 2 and the upcoming Hotel Indigo, forming part of a broader strategy to enhance the airport’s role as both a travel hub and lifestyle destination.

Airport officials said the project reflects evolving passenger expectations, with travelers increasingly seeking personalized and premium experiences beyond traditional airport services.
