Five New Routes Taking Off from London Stansted This Autumn
As summer comes to a close, London Stansted Airport is offering travelers five exciting new routes for autumn 2023. With the return of British Airways and new Ryanair destinations, travelers can look forward to exploring Split, Reggio, Linz, Dubrovnik, and Sarajevo.
British Airways to Split, Croatia
Since September 7, British Airways has been offering weekly flights to Split, Croatia’s second-largest city. Operated by BA CityFlyer on Embraer 190 aircraft, the Saturday flights depart London Stansted at 12:55 p.m., offering travelers a blend of culture, history, and natural beauty along Croatia’s Dalmatian coast.
Ryanair Expands Its Network
Ryanair is introducing four new European routes from Stansted this autumn:
Linz, Austria: Starting in October, Ryanair will operate a twice-weekly service to Linz, Austria’s third-largest city, adding to its Austrian routes from Stansted.
Reggio Calabria, Italy: From October, Wednesdays and Sundays will see flights to Reggio, a hidden gem in Italy’s Calabria region, providing a gateway to explore the area.
Dubrovnik, Croatia: Beginning in November, Ryanair will fly twice weekly to the historic city of Dubrovnik, one of the most visited destinations in the Adriatic.
Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina: Also starting in November, thrice-weekly flights will connect London Stansted to Sarajevo, a city rich in history and culture in the heart of the Balkans.
Expanding Stansted’s Route Network
These new routes further strengthen Stansted’s extensive European connections, offering travelers access to over 190 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Neringa Ohrstrom, Head of Brand & Marketing at London Stansted, shared the airport’s excitement:
