Tesco Clubcard Points Now Convert to Aer Lingus Avios

MICE - Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions

Tesco Ireland and Aer Lingus have teamed up to give customers a new way to travel for less: by converting Tesco Clubcard vouchers into Avios, the rewards currency of the airline’s AerClub loyalty programme.

From this week, nearly one million Tesco Clubcard members will receive vouchers that can be turned into Avios points. Every €2.50 in vouchers gets customers 600 Avios, which can be redeemed for flights, upgrades, hotel stays, car hire, and more.

With Aer Lingus reward flights starting from just 4,000 Avios (plus taxes and fees), that’s enough for a one-way trip to popular destinations like Paris, London, or Amsterdam for the equivalent of €17.50 in Tesco vouchers.

Bigger redemptions are also within reach—13,000 Avios (about €55 in vouchers) can get members a flight to New York.

The move comes just ahead of the holiday season, offering families a way to stretch their budgets further. Vouchers last for two years and can be redeemed via the Tesco app or online.

Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer Susanne Carberry called the partnership “a simple, rewarding way to make everyday shopping go the extra mile,” while Tesco Ireland’s Customer Director Suzanne Quinn said the company would issue €7.5 million in vouchers this month—enough Avios to send 450,000 people to Paris one-way.

The initiative strengthens Aer Lingus’ growing network of Avios-earning partners, which already includes Uber, Revolut, and Bank of Ireland.
