Boeing Next-Generation 737 reaches 5000 milestone

As of last week, Boeing has placed in service its 5000th Next-Generation 737 aircraft.
The airplane in question is a C-40A Clipper model, nothing but a modified 737-700C, a great transport aircraft, especially designed for the United States Navy.

The military models, the C-40 as well as the Boeing P-8 maritime patrol, Airborne Early Warning and Control, benefit from Boeing top level engineering and performance for this Next-Generation 737.
“The quality and dependability of these aircraft are directly linked not simply to their design, but to the hardworking men and women who build them,” - vice admiral Robin Braun, chief of Navy Reserve and commander, US Navy Reserve Force.
So far, the orders placed for the Next-Generation models from Boeing stand at 6.804 737s and 2.109 737 MAXs, suited best for volume transportation.
“With more than 280 different customers, it’s easy to see why the 737 is the best selling airplane in the world,” said Wyse.
The grand total for the Boeing 737 models including the Classics, have passed the milestone of 12.000 aircrafts, with more than 100 orders placed for their military models as well.
Boeing continues its legacy as one of the world’s strongest aircraft producers on a massive scale.
