Norwegian Cruise Line Enhances Norwegian Encore with New Features

Norwegian Encore to Undergo Extensive Enhancements
Norwegian Cruise Line® (NCL) announced today that its ship, Norwegian Encore®, will undergo significant updates aimed at delivering an elevated onboard guest experience. These enhancements include a brand-new adults-only outdoor lounge, Spice H2O, expanded dining venues, redesigned suites, and additional staterooms. The revitalization process will begin in November 2024, ahead of the ship's seven-day Caribbean itineraries departing from Miami.
“Our guests’ wants and needs are at the forefront of every decision that we make, and enhancing Norwegian Encore with more of the experiences they value showcases our commitment to just that,” said David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line.
Introducing Spice H2O
One of the key highlights of the Norwegian Encore's enhancements is the introduction of Spice H2O, an adults-only, complimentary outdoor lounge. Replacing the laser tag arena, Spice H2O will feature multiple hot tubs, large day beds surrounded by cooling pools, and a spacious bar serving a variety of cocktails. Designed by Studio Dado, the lounge combines popular elements from NCL’s Breakaway-Plus and Prima Class vessels, providing a serene escape for guests aged 18 and older.
Expanded Dining Options
The ship's dining options will also see substantial improvements. Cagney's Steakhouse and Teppanyaki, two of NCL’s most popular specialty restaurants, will expand their capacities by taking over the spaces currently occupied by Los Lobos and Coco's. Additionally, Ocean Blue will be converted into Palomar, a Mediterranean specialty restaurant offering elevated seafood cuisine.
Enhanced Suites and Staterooms
Norwegian Encore will also see the addition of 24 new balcony staterooms and two club balcony staterooms, repurposed from part of the Observation Lounge. The Haven by Norwegian®, the exclusive ship-within-a-ship area, will feature expanded Premier Owner’s Suites, now with three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a separate dining room. These upgrades are designed to meet the growing demand for spacious, luxurious accommodations.
Family-Friendly Offerings
These enhancements complement Norwegian Encore's existing family-friendly attractions, including the Norwegian Encore Speedway®, the Aqua Park with multi-story waterslides, and the Galaxy Pavilion, a virtual reality complex.
Upcoming Itineraries
After its dry dock, Norwegian Encore will embark on a 12-day transatlantic voyage from Southampton, U.K. to Miami. The ship will then offer seven-day round-trip Caribbean sailings through March 2025, visiting destinations such as Puerto Plata, Tortola, St. Thomas, and NCL’s private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay. For summer 2025, Norwegian Encore will offer seven-day round-trip cruises to Alaska from Seattle.
With these upgrades, Norwegian Cruise Line aims to enhance the guest experience by providing more relaxation spaces, expanded dining options, and luxurious accommodations, reinforcing its commitment to delivering exceptional cruise vacations.
