EVA Air Launches New Taipei–Washington DC Flights
EVA Air has announced the launch of a new **direct service between **Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, further expanding its global route network and strengthening ties between Taiwan and the United States.
The three-times-weekly service is scheduled to begin on 4 June 2026, operating with the airline’s long-range aircraft to provide efficient, nonstop connectivity between the two cities. The new route aims to serve both leisure travellers and business passengers while offering convenient access to the U.S. capital and beyond.
According to EVA Air, Washington DC is an important strategic addition to its long-haul network, complementing existing transpacific services and giving travellers more travel options between Taiwan and North America. The route will also offer seamless connections with domestic U.S. flights through Washington-Dulles, enhancing onward travel to major cities across the country.
EVA Air highlighted that the new service reflects strong demand for direct links between East Asia and the U.S. East Coast, driven by economic, cultural and tourism ties. The airline plans to operate the flights with aircraft equipped for long-haul comfort, catering to passenger comfort on the transpacific journey.
The Taipei–Washington DC service adds to EVA Air’s portfolio of North America routes, building on its existing offerings to cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver. With this new link, the airline aims to provide a more comprehensive transpacific network that supports business connectivity, family travel and leisure tourism.
EVA Air encourages travellers to book early for the summer 2026 season as availability for the new nonstop service is expected to be in demand.
