Air India Opens Ludhiana's Halwara Airport with Daily Flights
Air India has become the first airline to operate commercial flights to Ludhiana's newly opened Halwara Airport, launching twice-daily services from Delhi on Friday.
The inaugural flight touched down at Halwara at 07:03 local time, with the return service departing at 08:00. The airline operates the route using A320 family aircraft across four daily flights in total — two in each direction.
The new route is designed to offer seamless connectivity beyond Delhi, linking Ludhiana passengers to Air India's international network with a single ticket and unified baggage allowance. Destinations reachable via onward connections include London, Paris, Milan, Rome, and Birmingham, with same-terminal transfers available at Delhi airport between domestic and international flights.
