Breeze Airways Launches Flights to US Virgin Islands and Atlantic City
Breeze Airways is marking its fifth anniversary with a wave of new routes, headlined by the launch of nonstop service to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands — a new destination for the airline — alongside a significant expansion from Atlantic City International Airport.
The St. Thomas service will operate from Tampa on Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting December 16, with one-way fares from $149. It's part of a broader push that also sees Breeze add new routes from Atlantic City, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Tampa, and Vero Beach to destinations including Orlando, Myrtle Beach, Fort Myers, West Palm Beach, Cancun, and Punta Cana.
The Atlantic City expansion is particularly notable. Breeze celebrated its first-ever flight from the airport this week, and with the newly announced routes, it now offers seven nonstop destinations from ACY — more than any other carrier serving the airport. Daily nonstop service to Orlando launches July 3, with additional routes to Myrtle Beach, Fort Myers, and West Palm Beach rolling out from October and December.
On the international side, Pittsburgh gains seasonal nonstop flights to both Cancun and Punta Cana from January 2027, while Richmond and Columbus each add Cancun and Punta Cana connections respectively.
CEO and founder David Neeleman framed the expansion as a reflection of how far Breeze has come since launching with a handful of routes in 2021, and said the airline will keep growing where demand exists. The carrier currently operates more than 300 routes to 88 cities across the US, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, flying a fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft with no change or cancellation fees.
Breeze was recently named to TIME Magazine's TIME100 Most Influential Companies list for 2026, adding to a string of industry accolades including Best Major Airline in North America from APEX in 2025.
