Air Cairo Launches Direct Oslo Flights to Cairo and Hurghada

Air Cairo is expanding its presence in Northern Europe with the launch of new direct routes connecting Norway and Egypt. Starting in the winter 2026 season, the airline will operate direct flights from Oslo to both Cairo and Hurghada.

 

The new services are part of the airline’s broader strategy to grow its European network and strengthen travel links between the Nordic region and Egypt’s cultural and leisure destinations.

Passengers departing from Oslo will also benefit from onward connections through Cairo and Hurghada to a wider network across Egypt. These include domestic destinations as well as regional connections to cities in Africa, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and other parts of the Middle East.

According to Air Cairo, coordinated schedules and transfer options will allow travelers to connect easily to additional destinations beyond Egypt, offering greater flexibility for both leisure and business travelers.

The routes will be operated using Airbus A320ceo and A320neo aircraft configured with 180 seats. Flights between Oslo and Cairo are scheduled to operate on Mondays and Thursdays, while the Oslo–Hurghada route will run on Sundays.

The new services are expected to support tourism to Egypt’s historic sites as well as its Red Sea resorts, while also strengthening business and cultural links between Scandinavia, the Middle East and Africa.

Tickets for the new routes will be available through travel agencies, online booking platforms and directly through the airline’s website.
