“Summit at Sea” to be launched in 2016 by CLIA
Cruise Lines International Association prepares to launch the Summit At Sea networking and educational opening, part of the Executive Partner Membership Program
The event will be hosted on-board of the luxurious MSC’s Preziosa ship during January 8th-11th, 2016. CLIA’s Executive Partner and Cruise Line Members will have access to attend the exclusive event. Among them, All Leisure Group, Carnival Corporation, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and Silversea Cruises will participate to the unique occasion.
The initiative aims to create a new platform for the industry and connect the main 20 cruise line executives.
During the inaugural “Summit at Sea” event, guests will visit four ports in the western Mediterranean over a three nights trip.
“The Summit at Sea is a great opportunity for industry leaders to immerse themselves in the cruise community.
“The MSC Preziosa offers an ideal environment for the event and we are excited to host this innovative event”, declared the chairman of CLIA and executive chairman of MSC Cruises, Pierfrancesco Vago.
Educational content about port development, industry services and operations, destination development and itinerary planning, environment protection, safety and security, as well as shore trips for the clients will also feature into the Summit's schedule.
Cindy D’Aoust, CLIA's acting chief executive, concludes:
“The Summit at Sea is just one example of the ever-expanding CLIA events offered to our community.
“The Summit reinforces the unique benefits that CLIA membership provides, and we will continue to create opportunities like this to experience the industry first-hand and engage with partners.”
