SAS, Vietnam Airlines Expand Codeshare for 2026
SAS and Vietnam Airlines are broadening their collaboration with an expanded codeshare agreement that introduces a direct link between Copenhagen (CPH) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), along with new onward connections throughout Vietnam and Scandinavia.
The enhanced partnership coincides with Vietnam Airlines’ inaugural CPH–SGN flight on 15 December 2025, strengthening a relationship first established in 2024.
“This expansion marks an important milestone in our partnership,” said Paul Verhagen, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer at SAS. “With direct connectivity and a wider range of onward destinations, we’re giving customers more choice, flexibility and convenience than ever before.”
Under the extended codeshare, SAS passengers can now book Vietnam Airlines’ direct Copenhagen–Ho Chi Minh City service under an SAS flight number. They will also gain access to connections to Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat and Hue.
Vietnam Airlines will place its code on SAS-operated flights within Denmark — to Aarhus, Aalborg and Billund — as well as on a range of Scandinavian routes serving Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim and Helsinki.
Stronger Copenhagen Hub and Industry-Leading Punctuality
The deal supports SAS’ ambition to grow Copenhagen Airport as its main hub and a key gateway between Asia, Europe and North America. Stronger connectivity through CPH is expected to benefit travellers arriving from the United States and across Europe.
SAS’ operational reliability continues to bolster its network appeal. In 2025, the airline was ranked the world’s most punctual airline twice, and Europe’s most punctual four times, reflecting its focus on dependable performance.
Passengers on the expanded codeshare routes will earn and redeem rewards through SAS EuroBonus and Vietnam Airlines’ LotusMiles, enjoying seamless benefits across both networks.
