Destinations
According to a report published by Travel & Tourism News Middle East, tourism sector in Azerbaijan is on the rise
During the years, the country has been developing a solid tourism infrastructure set to sustain further plans to become a popular destination in the Caspian Sea area.

The nine climate zones here and the five UNESCO World Heritage hot-spots are becoming popular tourist attractions set to boost the country's tourism industry.

Considerable investments of big hospitality names, such as Hilton, Hyatt, Kempinski, Marriott, Fairmont and Four Seasons have significantly made Azerbaijan's capital, the city of Baku, more attractive for its guests.

Moreover, the upgrades of the Baku's International Heydar Aliyev Airport, welcoming more airlines and flights since 2014, also contributed to increasing the number of foreign visitors.

The relaxed visa regulations, especially for residents of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE, has also led to Azerbaijan welcoming more than 2 million tourists during last year only.

Since the country will host a Formula 1 Grand Prix race event this June, the visitor numbers are expected to grow exponentially this year also.
