Princess Cruises unveils largest Asia program
Princess Cruises has announced its largest-ever Asia deployment, combining its 2027 Southeast Asia program with an expanded 2028 Japan season.
The new lineup includes 96 departures across 61 itineraries, covering 55 destinations in nine countries. For the first time, two ships will be homeported in Tokyo, offering increased access to Japan and deeper cultural experiences for travelers.
The 2028 Japan season will feature 85 departures across 52 itineraries, ranging from seven to 29 days. Cruises will visit all four main islands of Japan, with sailings timed to coincide with key seasonal highlights such as cherry blossom blooms and autumn foliage.
The program also emphasizes immersive cultural experiences, including access to major festivals such as the Aomori Nebuta Festival, Tokushima Awa Odori and Osaka Bon Odori. Many itineraries include late-night port stays to allow guests to experience these events more fully.
In addition to Japan, Princess Cruises is expanding its Southeast Asia offering with longer, multi-country voyages. The program includes 11 departures across nine itineraries, connecting destinations such as Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia, with sailings lasting up to 28 days.
These itineraries combine cultural experiences, historic landmarks and natural attractions, alongside regional culinary experiences both onboard and ashore.
The company said the expanded program reflects growing demand for destination-focused travel, particularly in Asia, where travelers are seeking more immersive and extended journeys.
