Aer Lingus Launches Dublin to Pittsburgh Flights Four Times Weekly
Aer Lingus has launched its first transatlantic service to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with four weekly flights between Dublin and Pittsburgh International Airport, operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using an Airbus A321neo LR.
The new route brings Aer Lingus' North American network to 24 destinations from Ireland and offers onward connections from Pittsburgh to cities including Paris, Rome, Geneva, Amsterdam, Manchester, and London Heathrow via Dublin.
To mark the inaugural flight, Aer Lingus illuminated Pittsburgh's Three Sisters Bridges on the Allegheny River in green, white, and orange — a nod to the Irish flag and the airline's branding — billing the stunt a "Bridge to Ireland."
The launch builds on an existing relationship between Aer Lingus and the city. The airline serves as an Official Airline Partner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and flew the team to Dublin for a sold-out game at Croke Park in September 2025. The connection continues in 2027, when the Pitt Panthers will travel to Dublin to face the Wisconsin Badgers in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.
"This route strengthens our Dublin Hub and provides seamless connections between North America, Ireland, the UK and Europe, while supporting tourism, business and cultural links between Ireland and Pennsylvania," said Reid Moody, Chief Strategy and Planning Officer at Aer Lingus.
Pittsburgh International Airport CEO Christina Cassotis welcomed the service, citing deep ancestral and business ties between the Pittsburgh region and Ireland.
