Managing Director Russel Binks, announced this month that Alex Walters and Caitlin Lepper Carter handed over to Elle Reinink (UK & Europe) and Melony van der Merwe (US) on 29 February 2012.
Says Binks: Both Alex and Caitlin, who have been great ambassadors for Tswalu in the UK and US respectively, end their contracts with us this year.
Elle Reinink was born and raised in Edinburgh, but has experience working in South Africa, having been employed in 1998 by Cape Grace as Sales & Marketing Manager for UK and Europe. On her return to the UK in 1999, she set up her own business, working with Cape Grace and the two sister hotels. When Meikles Group bought Cape Grace, Elle started promoting Meikles in Harare and The Victoria Falls Hotel to the UK and European markets.
Melony van der Merwe was born and raised in Worcester, and moved to New York in late 2006 where she joined Heritage Tours Private Travel as Manager of the Southern African Division. She has represented Cape Grace, Meikles and The Victoria Falls Hotel in the Americas since 2009.
“Both Elle and Melony are very experienced in the industry,” says Binks, and I have no doubt that they will be a huge asset to the Tswalu team. I am very excited to welcome them to the Tswalu family, and know they will provide a wonderful service to our strategic partners abroad.”
