New British Airways luxury in-flight magazine
Airline News
Customers using British Airways First flight cabins can now browse through the airline’s new First luxury magazine when traveling
Edited in a journal-like size, with interesting cover artwork and high-quality paper pages, the unique and compelling First is designed to offer a book-like feeling for its readers, rather then a magazine's. Starting this year's November, each passenger flying in First on the airline’s long distance flights will be able to read a copy while traveling. Also, passengers awaiting their flights in the Concorde Room in Heathrow’s T5 will be offered to-read-copies of First.
The new magazine was created to coincide with the operational launch of British Airways’ new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and its very latest First luxury cabins.
“Our new title has some wonderful contributors that you can dip into or take some time to indulge in.
“I haven’t seen another in-flight magazine quite like it and can’t wait to hear what our customers think”, declared Abi Comber, head of customers at British Airways.
When creating the First magazine, the Cedar publishers aimed to enhance and enrich the already pleasant experience of people using British Airways air flight services.
“We wanted to break the mould of luxury content and create something genuinely thoughtful that would add some magic to the First flyer’s journey. By re-framing luxury with a hand crafted journal, we can offer First customers something truly enriching”, Tim Hulse, First editor, added.
The launch edition is themed around ‘time’ concept and depicts abstract reflections on the matter, as well as historical, philosophical, scientific and cultural expert perspectives on different subjects.
