Ahead of the European elections, Lufthansa, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines launch the "Yes to Europe" initiative, featuring aircraft adorned with a special message promoting European solidarity.

 

In a vibrant display of European unity, Lufthansa Group has announced a significant campaign titled "Yes to Europe," involving four of its airlines—Lufthansa, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines. This initiative is designed to coincide with the upcoming European elections, aiming to foster a sense of community and strengthen democratic values across the continent.

Starting this week, the campaign will see four Airbus A320 aircraft, each representing one of the participating airlines, taking to the skies with a special design. The message "Yes to Europe" will be prominently displayed on the fuselage of each aircraft, accompanied by the iconic European star wreath. This visual commitment to the European idea is meant to be a far-reaching reminder of the unity and cooperation that underpin the European Union.

The initiative will kick off with Lufthansa and Eurowings—whose brand inherently reflects a connection to Europe—sending out the first two specially wrapped aircraft. They will soon be followed by aircraft from Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines, each set to launch next week.

Highlighting the symbolic nature of this campaign, all four aircraft will convene at Brussels Airport on May 13, 2024, in a grand display of solidarity and commitment to the European project. This meeting is symbolic, as Brussels is not only the de facto capital of the European Union but also a city that stands as a beacon of European cooperation.

This campaign is not the first time Lufthansa has demonstrated its commitment to the European idea. In the lead-up to the 2019 European elections, the airline undertook a similar initiative, branding an aircraft with a pro-Europe message. The "Yes to Europe" campaign continues this tradition, aiming to inspire passengers and onlookers alike to reflect on the importance of unity and participation in the democratic process.
